Sage is grown in South Aegean part (triangle area of Antalya,Afyon,Pamukkale). It is collected and gathered by farmers from the nature and from the mountains. No farming for this item. This material can be used as a culinary herb, tea aromatic and pharmaceutical.
There are 2 varieties collected from the nature: "Officinalis" and "Triloba". Triloba variety has better smell and much higher Volatile Oil (around % 2 ml).The Triloba variety is usually sold as whole leaves, while the officinalis variety is sold as rubbed (cut) material.
